Notes: Glenmorangie Single Malt 12-Year Quinta Ruban Scotch is one of the darkest and most intense from the brand. The whisky is matured in American white oak casks for ten years before being transferred to Quintas. These Quintas, that give the whisky its name, are ruby port pipes from the wine estates of Portugal.
The aging process in these pipes gives the Quinta Ruban a more complex profile. Its sweetness is contrasted by its dryness and smoothness contrasted by its crisp mouthfeel. The whisky gives off a dark mint chocolate aroma balanced by an aroma of oranges, sandalwood and walnut with a spicy finish. These aromas carry over to its flavor profile for a taste of mint chocolate, walnuts and sweet orange. Its long, silky finish features dark chocolate mint and notes of orange.
