The result is spectacular—the nose is awash in aromas of ripe apricot, juicy peach, lemon-coated apple, and Nilla wafer, while the palate reveals more apricot, then orange scone, honey, a crack of peppery spice, and buttered toast. Warm baking spice also joins the party, coating the mouth in cinnamon French toast and sliced almond, making for an elegant and balanced dram.
