Franz Keller Pinot Noir Schwarzer Adler |
Bright cherry translucent red. Light and refreshing. Dry and tart, cherries, strawberries and cranberries. Pine forest, charcoal, sagebrush.
Ordinary, light, young and unpretentious every day Pinot Noir! Not complex nose with first hints of gunpowder, cherry, forest berries, spices and black pepper. Good balance with medium+ acidity, low-to-medium body, a bit hardish young tannins, bitterness in aftertaste.

The wine was great although I was not aware that it would take weeks to get it
Only downside to buying from wine chateau, the shippers used a lot of cardboard. These are all cardboard paper and they for instance shipped my 3 bottles in a 4 bottle shipper. Make sense, but I wish I knew this as I actually would have increased my order. I even would have appreciated if they kept shipping at certain amount to entice people to increase to full load of a particular box. It saves by using all that space of these thick cardboard shippers. For those who do not know what they use, it's the shippers that get folded in a u shape with cut pieces at the bottom and top that fold over to keep things in place. So much waste.
