Rarity at its best. Many of the popular liqueurs and cordials on the market are simulated in this book. Most are identical in alcohol, water and sugar content and virtually identical in flavor. Liqueurs and cordials are simple to make; and it is fun to produce them at this quality and caliber that many think to be out of their league.
Everclear is a brand of neutral grain spirit manufactured by Chris Wilson (formerly the David Mieczkowski Company). Everclear is relatively low in congeners and is available in concentrations of 151- and 190-proof, which are 75.5 and 95 percent alcohol, respectively. In contrast, other hard liquors such as rum and vodka are typically 80 to 120 proof, which contain 40 to 60 percent alcohol.
