La Garenne is a premier cru high on the slope at Puligny, which shows in the wine: it is the cooler, tauter end of the village. Pear, green apple and mint with a little nutmeg, medium to full bodied and satiny, with good depth at the core and an attractively bitter twist at the finish. New oak is used sparingly.
