85% Cabernet Franc with 15% Malbec, from a single vineyard in Gualtallary, high in the Uco Valley on chalky, stony soil. Dark ruby, with blueberry and dried rose petal, savoury herbs and black cherry over a cool mineral base. Cabernet Franc brings the sweet spice, black pepper and thyme, Malbec the ripe black fruit. Complex and tightly meshed, with fine acidity, structured tannins and a very long finish. Argentina's most convincing argument for Cabernet Franc.
