Domaine Serene is one of Oregon's best-known Pinot Noir producers, and Evenstad Reserve is its signature bottling, from the Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley.
Dundee Hills Pinot is known for its red fruit and soft, silky texture, from the region's red volcanic soils. Expect cherry, raspberry and a little spice and earth, with fresh acidity and a long finish. It's polished, with more depth than an everyday Pinot. Evenstad Reserve has been the estate's flagship for years, and it's a wine many people use as their benchmark for Oregon.
Serve it slightly cool, around 58-60F, in a Burgundy glass. Pair it with salmon, duck, pork or mushroom risotto. A good gift for a Pinot lover and a fine bottle for a special dinner.
