Bodega Familia Schroeder is the result of a pioneer family’s effort that made their dream come true. Located in Patagonia, the estate is a land of extremes. Dry weather, rivers carrying snowmelt water, cool nights and long summer days characterise the climate here. A state of the art gravity flow winery completes the set up in one of the worlds most exciting new wine regions.
The grapes are manually harvested and pneumatically pressed. The juice is fermented in pressure resistant tanks for 15 days where it reaches six atmospheres of pressure. Fermentation is stopped by chilling, leaving a natural sweetness in the wine. The wine is bottled and stored for three months before release.
This sparkling Torrontés presents a youthful and appealing lemon colour with green tinges. Fresh and fruity on the nose, the aroma is delicate with amazing flowery notes. The mouthfeel is elegant with notes of ripe peach and apricot, three months age on the lees added body and depth of flavour to the wine. The natural sweetness is complemented by the zesty and refreshing acidity.
