Tasty Dram

Each year, one Master Distiller is tasked with blending casks that have undergone double maturation. The theme is always the same - sweet and smokey. However, the balance is what changes. This 2004 distillation has mild smoke and a sweet side of vanilla and honey. The 2004 is slightly less smokey than the 2002 and 2003, both of which I feel offered almost ideal balance. While the 2004 isn’t that far off, I do miss the interpretation presented in ’02 and ‘03. In the end the 2004 is still a tasty dram. The Distillers Edition is the only scotch to which I and not a single drop of water. The balance is ideal straight out of the bottle. Wine Chateau gets 5+ Stars. Great deals on booze and shipping. Thick boxes filled with copious amounts of packaging material always keep my bottles safe. Thank You Team Wine Chateau!
