In many ways, this cognac encapsulates the spirit of Courvoisier itself, uniquely capturing our tradition, passion and innovation. L’Essence de Courvoisier is a blend of extremely special and rare cognac reserves which date back to early 1900 and add depth and harmony. These are complemented with cognacs from the later twentieth century, which mark our innovations in distillation and barrel-making techniques. L’Essence de Courvoisier is a pioneering and contemporary blend for today’s cognac connoisseur and a true taste of luxury through the ages. Inspiration: During his military campaigns, Napoleon Bonaparte would bestow unique Imperial signet rings on his most courageous commanders to motivate them on to ever-greater victories. The finely crafted crystal stoppers of L’Essence de Courvoisier are inspired by the design of these rings, each decanter below suspended in an elegant teardrop-shaped frame. Hand-sculpted by over 30 craftsmen from Baccarat, a centuries-old crystal house in France, the suspension of flawless, flat crystal proved to be a labour of love for these expert glass artisans.
