• 100% Sangiovese re-classified from Brunello vineyards • Selected grapes of three vineyards at different altitudes 150/250/350 meters above sea level • Vineyards planted in 1988/1998/2000 in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, south-east of Montalcino • Cordon and Guyot vine training • Fermentation initiated by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks • Aged in special French oak barriques from forests of 300+ year old trees for 18 months followed by 24 months of resting in bottle • Average annual production of 600 magnums in single wood cases I belong to a large family and have been chosen because I am large; \nRooted on the slopes of Castelnuovo dell’Abate\nWith my head in the air and my feet grounded in the earth, \nColored by rays of the sun and polished by caresses of the wind. \nTime has refined my allure.\nI sailed for a long journey in the silence,\nRested in precious wood casks and finally dressed up for our celebration.
