Chateau Larcis Ducasse

Medium depth of darkly pigmented, purple-red color. The aromas are of restrained red-plum overlaid by notes of coffee grounds. Flavors are a rich, smooth combination of damsons & juicy black-plums.

The tannins are fine, firm & drying but not harsh & astringent - they do close up the end of the palate however. Acidity is fresh & the alcohol is balanced leaving a long, fine finish that is mostly supported by the tannins
