DESCRIPTION

Dame de Gaffelière is the second wine of Château La Gaffelière, a Premier Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Émilion. It comes from the same estate, often from younger vines, and drinks well sooner.

It's a Right Bank blend, led by Merlot with Cabernet Franc. Expect plum, black cherry and raspberry, with a touch of spice and cedar and soft, supple tannins. 2020 was a ripe, generous vintage, and it shows.

Serve it around 62-64F in a large red wine glass, ideally after 30 minutes in a decanter. It's good with roast duck, lamb, beef or mushroom risotto. A smart way to taste a top Saint-Émilion estate for less.
