This Margaux red comes from the house of Schröder & Schÿler, the Bordeaux family business behind Château Kirwan. Margaux is the Médoc appellation best known for perfumed, elegant reds.
Expect a deep, bright color and a fruity bouquet of red and black fruit. The wine is velvety and pleasant on the palate, with soft tannins that make it easy to drink now. It's a gentle, approachable introduction to Margaux.
Serve it around 60-64F in a Bordeaux glass, after about 30 minutes in the glass or a decanter. It goes well with roast chicken, lamb, duck or a cheese board. A good everyday Bordeaux and an easy bottle to bring to dinner.
