Chateau Fonreaud

Darkly pigmented, medium ruby-red color, with purple hues at the rim. On the nose bitter coffee notes overlay restrained black-fruit aromas. On the palate cassis & black-plum fruit is supported by fresh acidity.

The wine is of mid weight. Plentiful drying tannins close up the mid-palate. The alcohol is well in balance, but the palate lacks harmony at present & the tannins leave the finish short.
