DESCRIPTION
Cheval Blanc sits on the Pomerol boundary and is unusual for Saint-Emilion in leaning so heavily on Cabernet Franc. The 2020 is 65 percent Merlot with 30 Cabernet Franc and a little Cabernet Sauvignon, raised entirely in new French oak. Deep purple, with sweet red and black fruit, spring flowers, incense, loamy earth and smoky tobacco. Opulent and dense, with ripe silky tannins and a very long finish.
