• Practicing Organic • 100% Chardonnay • Selection from 9 cool sites, with low vigor soils such as Goldridge loam • 26% Lafranchi, 16% Sonoma Foothills, 15% Westside Farms, 13% Martinelli Laughlin, 10% Kilcullen, 8% Dutton Sebastopol, 5% Frank Johnson, 4% Hyde, 3% Woolsey Road • Planted between 1978 and 2006 • Primarily UC Davis Clone 4, known for prominent acidity and larger clusters • Secondarily Wente and Rued clones • Whole cluster pressed for phenolic delicacy • Native yeast and full native malolactic fermentation in barrel • Sur lies bâtonnage • Aged 12 months in 10% new French oak barrels (François Frères) • Traditionally fined for clarity, but unfiltered • 13.5% abv
