DESCRIPTION
Cerro is a red blend from JDB Wines, from the 2018 vintage. It's a blend rather than a single grape, which lets the winemaker build in both fruit and structure.
It's a red with some grip. Intense purple with pinkish notes in the glass, then herbal and menthol aromas mixed with ripe fruit and a few dry floral notes. On the palate the tannins are very marked, with fair acidity that pulls everything together. With a few years of age, those tannins should be softening by now.
Open it 30 minutes ahead and serve around 62-65F. Those tannins want food: grilled steak, burgers, sausages, empanadas or a hard cheese. A good bottle for a barbecue or a casual dinner with friends.
