Great Heart Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is a polished, medium-to-full-bodied Cabernet with more finesse than force.
In the glass it's deep garnet, with attractive aromas of elderberry and red currant leaf. The broad middle palate is framed by silky tannins, with layers of plum, graphite and pomegranate. The finish is gentle but lingering, with mulberry and a light dusting of cocoa. It's a Cabernet that drinks easily without losing its shape.
Serve it around 61-64F, which is what the winemaker recommends, in a large red wine glass. It's great with grilled steak, lamb, burgers or mushroom dishes. A very good value Cabernet for weeknight dinners.
