C SMITH SYRAH BOOM BOOM

Boom Boom! exploded on the wine industry in 2007, and this spicy Syrah has been one of Washington State’s signature wines ever since. It’s a tribute to Charles’ first love lost—a woman nicknamed “Boom Boom” O’Brien—and it’s one of the biggest and boldest Syrahs of all time. A perky red, offering lively blackberry, smoky pepper and licorice flavors that linger on the finish.

Starting out a bit reduced, the aromas open to reveal notes of berry, herb and orange peel. The fruit flavors are straight down the fairway, if seeming a bit innocuous, with the concentration light with a candied finish.

 Dark and Persisten with layers of red and black fruit, baking spice, and earth. Scents of mocha, tar, and lavender lend to lush flavors of chocolate covered cherries. Generous and complex at once, this delivers a lot of wine for the price!
