DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Bollinger only declares a vintage when it thinks the year deserves it, and La Grande Annee is what comes of that decision. Pinot Noir led, fermented in old oak barrels and aged under cork for seven years. Stone fruit and plum with honey, then almond, mocha and toasted hazelnut. Plump and generous on the palate, with chocolate and citrus on a long finish. Champagne with enough body for food, not just a toast.
