Wine Enthusiast 96 points

Beluga is made at the Mariinsk distillery in Siberia, using artesian water and malt spirit. Gold Line is the top of the range: where the regular Beluga is filtered three times, Gold Line goes through five rounds of filtering.

The goal is purity and texture, and it gets there. It's about as close to neutral as vodka gets, with a silky feel, the faintest almond note on the palate and a little cinnamon flicker at the end.

Keep it in the freezer and pour it ice-cold, neat, into small chilled glasses. It's classic with caviar, smoked salmon, blinis or pickles, and it makes a very clean Martini. A solid gift for the vodka drinker who already has everything.
