• Nebbiolo from a single, historical vineyard located in the Ginestra cru in Monforte d’Alba • Vines were planted in 1971, 1983, and 1988 • Ideal south-facing exposure (“sorì”) • Elevation is between 340 and 360 m above sea level with south facing exposure • Soils are a mixture of sand, silt, and clay • Hand-harvesting begins in mid October • Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for 12 to 15 days • Aging in French oak barrels • First vintage was 1982 • Between 800 and 1000 cases produced annually
