• From 60-year-old Barbera vines from the Bionzo vineyard in Castigliole d’Asti • South-facing vineyard planted at 250 meters to calcareous clay and marl soils • Harvested in the last week September to early October • Fermented in rotofermenters for 11 days • Aged for 16-18 months in French oak barrique (30% new, medium-toast) • Unfiltered and unfined
