DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Badia a Coltibuono is an eleventh century abbey in Gaiole, and the Stucchi Prinetti family has been making wine there for over 160 years. Roberto Stucchi is the current winemaker, and the estate has been certified organic since 2002. Bright ruby, with iris, violet, tobacco, black pepper and marasca cherry, then black cherry, plum, earth and iron on the palate. Supple tannins, mineral, and fresh enough to clean the plate.
