Domaine Bachelet-Ramonet is a Chassagne-Montrachet producer, and Clos Saint-Jean is one of the village's premier cru vineyards. This is the 2024.
Chassagne-Montrachet is best known for white Burgundy, but its premier crus also grow fine Pinot Noir, and this bottle is listed as a red. Expect red cherry and raspberry, a little earth and spice, and a fresh, fine structure. A young vintage like this will show bright, primary fruit.
Serve it around 60F in a wide Burgundy glass, and give it air if you open it young. It's a good match for roast chicken, duck, salmon or mushroom dishes. A premier cru Burgundy at a fair price, and a good bottle to put away for a few years.
