DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Fieramonte is a single vineyard high in the Valpolicella Classico hills, replanted by Allegrini in the 1990s, and the Riserva is only made in years that earn it. Deep compact ruby, with coffee and tobacco leading, then blackberry jam, dried cherry and fig, liquorice, dark chocolate and pink pepper. The tannins are front and centre without being harsh, and the acidity keeps it moving. Long finish with an almond note at the end.
