DESCRIPTION
Chassagne is known for white, but about a third of it is still planted to Pinot Noir, and the reds are worth finding. Deep ruby, with undergrowth, blackcurrant and wild strawberry, then mocha and licorice on a full, round palate. The tannins are silky rather than firm. A red Burgundy with weight, from a house that has been in Beaune since 1797.
