X Winery & Amicus were created in 2000 by an MS/MBA candidate with the idea of creating niche wines to satisfy needs in the marketplace. This joint effort is focused on showing the “American Varietal” Zinfandel with a touch of American Oak and no malolactic fermentation. Blended from two estate vineyards in Lake County, the two sites were chosen to match higher acid levels with long and smooth tannins.
At X Winery, we utilize new technologies along with traditional winemaking techniques to produce wines that have the mouthfeel and traditional flavor profiles of wines that normally cost two to three times the price.
