IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

Steel is the medium and the message, meaning it’s completely unoaked, with no malolactic fermentation. The flavors are spicy and bright, mixing cucumber, mint and green melon with a dash of white pepper. Silky in texture, fresh in flavor, with tangerine peel—accented pear, orange and melon notes. Light-footed, soft and creamy. Drink now through 2016. 4,626 cases made. Crisp and refreshing with bright fruits and zippy acidity. Filled with aromas and flavors of green apple, Asian pear, Meyer lemon, flowery nectar, and pineapple.

Our Chardonnay grapes were lightly pressed immediately upon arrival at the winery. The juice was allowed to settle for a few days before inoculation with a varietal specific yeast strain. The juice was fermented at a cool 53°F for two months and allowed to sit on the yeast lees for another few weeks. Without the influence of oak or ML, this wine shows crisp minerality and clean varietal fruit characteristics. This crisp and refreshing Chardonnay is filled with aromas and flavors of green apple, Asian pear, Meyer lemon, flowery nectar, and pineapple. It has bright fruits and zippy acidity with a nice lingering finish making it a perfect aperitif on a warm summer day.
