Thierry et Pascale Matrot Meursault Charmes 2017

The Meursault Charmes 1Er Cru offers a slightly more fruit forward, tropical, yet also fresh style. Citrus, mint, crushed rock, white flowers, and green citrus all emerge from this rounded, pure, elegantly textured Meursault. 

This is aromatically similar to the Meursault-Blagny save for the addition of discreet roasted hazelnut nuances. There is more volume and punch to the delicious, round and mouth coating medium weight flavors that possess excellent verve that adds real lift to the lightly mineral-inflected, balanced and beautifully lingering finish. This is an altogether lovely, and classic, Charmes.
