From coal mines to moonshine, Distillery owners, Dwayne Freeman and James Hager have left behind a life underground to do what they have dreamt of doing - making moonshine. Being from Appalachia both Dwayne and James have a history of moonshining families. As career miners they decided to put their dream to the test. A dream became a thought and that thought was put into motion. Appalachian Distillery had finally been born! It has taken over 2 years to jump all of the legal hoops to arrive where they are today.
