This wine maintains its focus with nicely integrated tannins that deliver explosive  avors of blackberry jam and dried cranberries, mingled with pleasing undertones of leather and sweet French oak. Without the normal heat spikes in July and August, the fruit was able to hang longer on the vine and ripen more uniformly, helping concentrate  avors.
