Grapes are hand harvested, sorted and macerated on the skins for 15-20 days followed by fermentation in French Allier oak casks. The wine is aged for 12 months in 50% new and 50% 2nd-use oak and bottled without filtration. With excellent tobacco flavors and deep, dark fruit, this is a wine that will change and improve for another decade and easily run for another decade beyond that. 10,000 bottles produced.

Re Manfredi “Serpara” Aglianico del Vulture has been awarded the prestigious Tre Bicchieri award from Gambero Rosso for vintages 2003, 2010.
