The Periquita Tinto Original VR by J.M. da Fonseca appears in a rich ruby red with purple reflections and seduces with its aromas of red berry fruits, such as raspberry, currant and some strawberry. In addition, there are fine aromas of cinnamon stick and fresh spruce needles, which are accompanied by strong spice notes, such as liquorice and juniper.
The tannin is ripe, but present. The acid is well incorporated and gives it backbone. The reverberation is determined by the fruit components and some spice. A fascinating Portuguese wine.
