Olga Raffault Chinon "Les Barnabés" 2019

Domaine Olga Raffault is one of the most respected names in the Loire Valley and is often considered a benchmark for high quality wines from Chinon. Les Barnabés is 100% Cabernet Franc from a plot in the Véron sub-zone which is planted on alluvial soils.

In contrast to their other single site cuvées this is juicier and more approachable in youth. Bright and fresh, this is a delicious, traditionally styled Cabernet Franc with crunchy red berry fruits, subtle wild herb inflections and a cooling, stoney minerality to the finish. A fine accompaniment to rustic cuisine, particularly pâté and terrines.
