IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

The Mossburn Vintage Casks range are a collection of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies each issuing from a strictly limited and select batch of casks from some of Scotland's most destinguished distilleries.

The Mossburn company of distillers and blenders will soon have a distillery in the Borders and are also the company behind the new and now operational Torabhaig distillery on Skye.

Each numbered release will only ever yield a finite number of bottles.

Releae number 2 is a small batch Inchgower, a coastal Speyside malt aged for 10 years in a refill Hogshead.

Salted toffee, vanilla wafers, white nougart, touch of clove and charred orange rind, candied peel, white chocolate, condensed milk fudge.

Palate: Salted nougart, white chocolate cookie dough, almond milk, macaroons, clove oil, pepper and a waxy, quince like body.

Finish: Waxy, oily and salty but backed up with plenty of fruity notes (think boiled sweets or wine gums) lasting dry spice and barley sugar notes.
