Brilliant appearance. Gives off a large amount of small and medium-sized bubbles. The presence of carbon dioxide ensures that a persistent head is formed in the glass. Pale straw yellow in colour.
Fairly intense. Tertiary aromas from the second fermentation mingle with the aromas from the first fermentation to give it a character of its own. The second fermentation took place in the bottle in which it is sold and was for more than 12 months.
Frank on the palate with flavours developed in the bottle. Fresh and lively but with sufficient body. Smooth and silky, the carbon dioxide keeps it fresh and lively so the taste remains in the mouth for a long time.
