Gran Reserve Rioja of any kind are rare and heralded, but the whites are almost never seen. This bottle consists largely of Viura, with about 5% Garnacha Blanca. The grapes go through natural fermentation before spending a full 36 months in barrel. After bottling, the wine is aged a further 30 months in the cellar before release (note the vintage!). \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe result is a full bodied, not oxidized, white with notes of smoky fruits, candied peach , almonds, flowers, and light oak. With air, chamomile tea, grilled lemon, and citrus curd start to emerge.
