Description
A blend of four and five year old wheat whiskies distilled in 2010 and 2011. This release was aged in new and used bourbon barrels, used cognac barrels, and used port barrels. The flavor profile is dense and very complex.
Producer Description
Whiskies are distilled from grain: barley, corn, rye, wheat, even oats. The grains are prepared in various ways, including malting and drying, to convert starches into sugars. Water is added to create a "mash
which is fermented to convert the sugars into beer-like alcohol. Distillation can be on either potstills or column stills. Whiskies include single-malt scotch, bourbon, and a wide range of blended whiskies: Scotch, Canadian, American. Low Gap will include whiskies made from several grains.QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
