Louis Michel & Fils Chablis Butteaux 2016

 As the Butteaux Vieilles Vignes bottling had not yet been bottled, the precision of the vintage of 2016 was very much on display in this and the following example of Séchet. It augurs very, very well for the premier crus that had already been bottled and were in the midst of their recovery. This wine is pure, very precise and vibrant on the nose, delivering a marvelous mix of green apple, lime, pear, crystalline minerality, a touch of licorice and a pungent topnote of lime blossoms.

On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very transparent, with a superb core, great focus and grip and a long, racy and very minerally finish.
