Benastra La Petite Soeur Rouge' Cotes Catalanes 2018

Domaine Benastra is the Languedoc project of stellar Loire Valley winemaker Joseph Paillé, who in 2014 yielded to the urge to explore a new region. Here he quickly gained a reputation for producing wines of vitality and nuance that clearly showcase the region’s potential for quality.

In “La Petite Soeur” Joseph blends Carignan, Syrah, and Grenache with an indigenous grape called Lledoner Pellut; done using whole-berry and whole-cluster fermentation in a combination of stainless steel and concrete, this is a fruit-forward cuvee, lively and round on the palate with fine tannins, a true “vine de plaisir.”
