"Medium deep pink colour with a bright orange hue. Fresh nose of citrus, red cherry and dry spices. Medium weight, a youthful fresh bite, discreet fruit and a medium to long finish."
This sangiovese rosato comes from Montalcino's Castelnuovo dell’Abate, and is grown over calcareous clay soils, resulting in a rosé for grown ups. Early picked for its freshness, it is native fermented in concrete eggs for texture which it has in spades. From strawberries to cherries, it is refreshingly dry and focused from the front end to the rear, sporting orange and spice highlights.
