J.M. Boillot Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 2015 |
A little lemon and lime in the colour. A little friendly reduction to the nose. There follows a wealth of fruit on the palate, quite delicious, some of the expected plumpness typical of the vineyard, matched to a very fine structure with the acidity perfectly matched to the ripe fruit. One or two yellow notes but all in harmony.
The nose conveys an almost dried-fruit ripeness to the aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, flowers and musky herbs. Rich, plush and silky, with its almost glyceral texture given shape by harmonious acidity. Consistent from start to very long, slightly aggressive finish. This distinctly chewy wine will need time in bottle.
