I GREPPI 18 GREPPICANTE |
Currants, blackberries and hints of rosemary and flowers follow through to a full body with decadent fruit, rich meat and leather. Long and flavorful.
I Greppi was founded on the Tuscan coast by two of Tuscany’s most famous winemaking families, the Cancellieri and Landini. Although it was purchased by an investment group in 2017, Alessandro Landini, known for the production of Chianti, continues to serve as a consultant to the current owners. The estate stretches over 14 hectares planted a stone’s throw from the Tuscan coast in the spiritual homeland of the Super Tuscan movement. The farm’s proximity to water creates the ideal conditions for extended ripening: Ventilation from the sea helps to cool the fruit during the summer months and keep the grape bunches dry and healthy (free from mildew or rot).
