In 2004, on a mission to make a serious Zinfandel, our winemakers journeyed to Lodi in central California in search of the famed old vine Zinfandel vineyards. Gnarly Head was launched in 2005 with a single wine, Old Vine Zinfandel, made from some of the oldest vines in California.
