IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
67% Ugni blanc, 33% Colombard 34 years. in oak, bottled: October 2020 Golden brilliant color, with darker tints. Classic aromas for an Armagnac made with the Baco grape of that age (cinnamon , licorice , candied fruit , tobacco) give a great character to the spirit. On the palate , the tannins are present , silky and fat. Flavors of toast , dried fig, licorice bring complexity and length.
The nose displays its elevated abv and smells fiber-like with additional scents of wood chips, sawdust and distant tropical fruits. The palate entry is pipe tobacco-like and nicely prickly; the midpalate shows the oak influence in forms of vanilla, maple, butterscotch, dark toffee and nougat. Ends unbelievably rich and honeyed.
