Follies Touriga Nacional 2016 |
Produced from the best parcels of Touriga Nacional, the grapes present high sugar levels and a balanced acidity. The manual harvest is carried out under ideal conditions after a selected pickup of the grapes in the vine. The fermentation process occurs in small capacity tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by maceration for about 3 weeks. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in French oak barrels for one year. This process is followed by bottling and an ageing period of at least one year.
Deep purple colour. In the nose, the cassis, cherry and chocolate notes are evident and well integrated with wood notes. In the mouth this is a full bodied, balanced and elegant wine, with obvious notes of blackberries, figs and spices, complemented with firm and round tannins. The end is long and presents a creamy sensation.
