BRANDChâteau Fleur de Jean Gué
Beautiful cardinal red color with ruby highlights. Aromas of undergrowth, oak and vanilla with hints of candied black fruit. Ample and velevety attack with a nice final length.
The grapes are destemmed and crushed before fermentation. The wine is kept on the skins for 3 to 4 weeks before being run off and put into barrelled. A third of the oak barrels is renewed every year.
Fleur de Jean Gué Réserve is made from old Merlot vines on a two-hectare plot. It is aged in 75 % new oak barrels, partially on the lees. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel.
