Domenico Clerico Langhe Rosso 'Arte' 2016 750-12 2016

The color is darker and richer purple than Nebbiolo grape. Decant the wine, it opens with very strong back fruit notes - black cherry, cassis, bramble, and mulberry. But there are no fruitiness in the taste. It opens up with spicy notes of black pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It then leaves oaky aftertaste.

As it opens more, warm tannins and licorice take over spices in taste. It will be good with any red meat or thick tomato sauce pasta.
